Title Insurance: Protecting Your Piece of the Planet

Education Committee

The NYSLTA Education Committee explores, recommends and implements training and education programs which benefit the land title industry.

Land Records Committee

The NYSLTA Land Records Committee monitors the activities of the County Clerk's office and Register's office in matters impacting the Association. There include recording delays and indexing procedures, and establishing, when feasible, uniform procedures for the filing and recording of instruments. This committee represents the Association in any discussions regarding activities of the County Clerks's offices and Register's Offices.

Law Committee

The NYSLTA Law Committee analyzes and reports on the effect of current judicial decisions and new laws affecting real property ownership, or which may affect the land title industry.

Legislative Committee

The NYSLTA Legislative Committee analyzes and recommends appropriate action to all proposed legislation affecting real property ownership, and other relevant issues impacting the land title industry.

Municipal Agency Liaison Committee

The NYSLTA Municipal Agency Liaison Committee monitors the activities of all municipal departments and agencies, other than those covered by the Land Records Committee. This committee represents the Association in any discussion regarding the activities of the municipal departments and agencies.
