Lobby Days

"Assembly Required"

The title insurance industry needs every concerned title professional to participate in in-person lobbying of the State Assembly on March 20^th and 21^st. We need title agents, abstracters, underwriter agency counsels and agency reps, closers and examiners.

We are asking you to spend one day in Albany and to have a 5-minute conversation with your Assembly Member. We are asking the Assembly to include the title industry provisions in the final State budget.

Legislators are more prone to support a cause when they see your personal concern and commitment.

These days are our last and best chance to get the support for the title industry into the State Budget.

The Schedule

Select one day, either Tuesday March 20^th or Wednesday March 21^st. Arrive in Albany mid-morning and depart after you talk with your representative. No one will leave no later than 5 PM.

We will meet as a group, have a short briefing and walk over to the Assembly lobby together.

We will call your Assembly member out of the Chamber to meet with you in the Assembly lobby, where we will explain the importance of the Assembly including our provisions in the final State Budget.

Our lobbyists from Ostroff Associates and Executive Director Bob Treuber will be with you to answer any question from your representative and to provide support.

Logistics

We will email you the day prior to your selected lobby day to tell you where you can park, and where and when we will gather.

The start of each day’s session is determined at the end of the prior day. Some days they start at 10 AM, some days they start the session at Noon.
