As the title professional comes to rely increasingly on technology to provide service and comply with governmental regulations, likewise the Executive Committee must consider technology in its plans and strategies.

 The Technology Committee is the Association's response.

 The NYSLTA Technology Committee is a special committee to serve the Executive Committee and Member companies for the following purpose and duties:

  • Provide information (articles, white papers, best practices) in the fields of IT, MIS, data storage and management, digital security and encryption, digital communication (Internet, web sites, email, VOIP), mobile platforms, production software and such technology issues which may be subsequently introduced;
  • Advise the Executive Committee from time to time as needed on technology questions;
  • Maintain current information on standards and procedures for the exchange of information and data (e.g., MISMO, PRIA);
  • Develop, solicit, review, and disseminate advisories on the use of technology to improve and enhance all aspects of the title business.
