The Advocacy Committee acts as a liaison between membership and our advocacy professionals including but not limited to the Association's lobbying and communication firms. 

The Advocacy Committee works towards creating an effective working relationship with NYS Legislators, the DFS and others where NYSLTA is regarded as a stakeholder. NYSLTA is a trusted broker between legislators and regulator and the title industry. The Advocacy Committee interacts with state and local government and other professional organizations as subject matter experts (SME) in title insurance, as well as any issue that effects industry and our members.   

The Advocacy Committee works with the Legislative Committee to ensure the legislation review process is timely and the Association's resources such as letters of opposition, lobbying, etc. are used in the most effective manner.
