This is the only public listing in New York State of title agents, abstracters, underwriter title corporations and service companies. Search by county, municipality, company name or type.

Consumer
The primary purpose of title insurance is to enable the financing of real property purchases and to protect the ownership rights of title holders. 
Government
Title insurance is regulated by the insurance division of the NY Department of Financial Services. Land records are maintained by County Clerks. Municipalities issue local laws and ordinances that control
real estate and land use.
