The Law Committee, comprised solely of attorneys, is a key resource for the Association. When the legal basis for a practice or policy is in question, the Law Committee conducts research and provides guidance to the Executive Committee and Officers.

The Law Committee is also charged with maintaining the Recommended Practices document, which establishes the procedural conventions for Member companies.

On occasion, the Law Committee is called upon by the Legislative Committee to assist in the drafting of language for legislation.
