The NYSLTA Convention and Annual Meeting
Sunday, August 20 - Wednesday, August 23
The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa
All title insurance professionals are welcome.
Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got
Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot
There is a perfect little town at the foot of a mountain in Vermont. This town has a world-class resort and luxury spa built around an inn from the 1840s, right across the road from a golf course named “one of the "Top 75 courses in the U.S." by Golf Digest. Maybe fly-fishing, skill driving the 80-acre Land Rover Experience course or hitting the Outlet Shops is more your style?
Wouldn’t you like to get away?
The Equinox
Then please join me and the NY’s best Title Professionals at The 2023 NYSLTA Annual Meeting & Convention. We have negotiated some very attractive hotel room rates and we have assembled a 3-day program of meetings, guest speakers, fine food & drink and a few surprises.
Here is a concise preview of what we have planned.
Sunday – Welcome Reception
You will arrive Sunday, August 20, to pick-up your convention registration and head to the Welcome Reception on the Rockwell Patio. The agenda is plenty of food, plenty of drinks and the warm embrace of friends old and new.
Monday – General Session, Sabol Award luncheon, Wall of Honored Members Installation
Monday begins with a special breakfast for attendees, speakers, spouses, guests and Plus 1’s.
The General Session commences with a full Executive Committee meeting and a report from ALTA - Richard H. Welshons, ALTA Chair, Abstracters & Agents Section.
We have planned a special lunch to acknowledge and present the Sharon Sabol Award to Sal Turano, the highest honor the NYSLTA bestows.
General session continues after lunch with a presentation by Elizabeth Berg on managing a remote workforce and Sam Trimble's "Sales & Marketing Myth Buster" presentation.
On Monday night, we will gather for food, drink and music to celebrate the inductees to the newly established Wall of Honored Members. Monday night's event will take place at the Equinox Meadow House - we suggest garden party attire. Keep in mind that this is Vermont so remember what your Mom used to say and “bring a sweater” for the starry New England nights.
Tuesday – CE/CLE, Free Afternoon, Charity Event
The day begins with separate breakfast meetings for the members of the Title Section and the Agents Section.
We reconvene for General Session and a “Diversity credit” CE/CLE presented by attorney and humorist, Sean Carter.
Tuesday afternoon is free time to hike up Mt. Equinox, rattle your bones on the Land Rover course or recharge on a poolside lounge chair.
Tuesday night wraps up our escape to the Green Mountain State with a Casino Night and Live Auction.
