Professional Education program

Licensed title insurance agents are required to complete 15 credits of DFS approved Continuing Education (CE) per every 2-year license term.

In November 2014, the Department of Financial Services approved NYSLTA as an accredited provider of title agent continuing education (CE) in New York State. In addition, the NYSLTA has been a provider of continuing legal education (CLE) for many years.

With a statewide membership, NYSLTA offers CE course work via the Internet in the form of live webinars.  These webinars are open to all agents and attorneys, although NYSLTA Members may attend at a discounted rate.

In addition, NYSLTA offers recordings of past webinars purely for educational purposes.  The videos are available to members only at no cost as a benefit of membership.

CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION (CLE)

The NYSLTA is an accredited provider of continuing legal education in New York State. We offer CLE classes with special attention to title insurance issues.

As required by the CLE Board, we offer scholarships to attorneys who cannot afford the CLE tuition.

The NYSLTA Education Committee offers professional education in all 62 counties of New York State via webinar. A series of webinars awarding CE and CLE credits are presented January to June. Check this page for webinar information and registration.
