Priority 3 Bills signed Into Law

The following bills were signed into law by Governor Hochul in the final weeks of 2022.

 

The Legislative Committee categorizes bills introduced during the legislative session. Priority 3 bills are not critical issues but may be important changes to title insurance related practices or for people running a small business.

 

A3714 / S5097A (Requires the disclosure of indoor mold history upon the sale of certain real property.)

 

A5337A / S9470 (Authorizes special proceedings to convey title to abandoned commercial and industrial property to a city, town, or village.)

 

A7595 / S6805 (Requires copies of certain documents physically posted in a workplace to be made available to employees electronically through the employer's website or by email.)

 

A7737B/ S5473D (Relates to the rights of parties involved in foreclosure actions; provides additional details regarding the commencement and termination of certain actions related to real property.)

 

A10477 / S9427A (Requires employers to disclose compensation or range of compensation to applicants and employees upon issuing an employment opportunity for internal or public viewing or upon employee request.)
